Hi Ellis

Thought you might like some feedback on how the installation of the system we bought went and how it's working for us.

The panels were the hardest things to get in place. I put them on the roof in the end and bought iron frame L-bars from Bricco to make a frame, then bolted them from underneath oto the frame. It took 2 of us on the roof to fight off the wasps but in the end we got the job done!  The wiring up was, in the end, pretty straight forward, and I'm sure anyone with basic DIY can manage this.  I had to change the planned location of the battery housing and this needed more solar cable but it doesn't seem to have affected the efficiency of the system - we get around 60v out of the array.

We had our first "power cut" this week but I worked out how to set the battery cut off voltage to a lower setting and got the lights back on- my daughter had homework to finish so she was sort off releived - although it would have been a good excuse not to have finished it!

So it's time to equalize the batteries and I need a bit of advise on this.  The FlexMax manual says to follow the manufacturers recommendations for the EQ voltage but I don't remember getting any info on the batteries when they arrived.  It's a 24v system ( 4 x 6V) and the bit of internet research I've done sems to point at 28.8 V for the EQ voltage. Does this sound right to you?

I haven't hooked up the generator to the system yet , mainly because there hasn't been a need to, but as the days draw in I'm guessing I will need to so I might get back to you for more advise then.

By the way, I'd be more than happy for you to quote me as a satisfied customer on your website and have already recommended you to friends thinking of going solar.

Regards

Hi Ellis,

I would just like to say thank you for making my decisions and subsequent purchases so easy.  The solar panels were dispatched when requested and arrived on time and are now installed and providing me with plenty of solar power. I would have no hesitation in recommending your services to anyone interested in solar power.

When I recently bought a Solar kit from Go Solar In Spain, I was pretty green. However I found the instructions & drawings very easy to understand.  I had a few hiccups, but found the after sales service excellent and never once felt abandoned.
Many Thanks Ellis & Go Solar In Spain.

We have bought a 3kw solar power system, consisting of panels, batteries, inverter and charge controller, from Go Solar. We have been thoroughly pleased with the system and the quality of service given by Go Solar. They have been very helpful all along, from our first enquiry right through to the installation process. They are also still giving an after sales service of help and advice. We would thoroughly recommend their service and products.

"Earlier this year I was looking for a new pv solar system to replace a basic one that I had. After some 3 months searching by internet and phone, I came across the Go Solar ad in the local paper. I rang and spoke to Ellis, told him what I was looking for and found him to be most helpful and informative, without any sales pressure-but for a person like myself, who knew a little but not a lot about solar ,they were just what I was looking for.

I was invited to their house to see the system in place and working, where we met Jo who welcomed us and they were able to answer all our questions. Over the next 2 months during which time I changed my order several times, Ellis was always cheerful and helpful.
I now have my system up and running and have no hesitation in recommending Go Solar
as a helpful business that give value for money and know the science involved but don't try to blind you with it

We looked at loads of companies and got quotes for a solar system for our remote house in spain, we found that Go solar were the best value for money, very friendly and great with any advice or questions we had (which were a lot). They kept in contact throughout the process from the time we ordered to the time of installation and I am sure will check up on us from time to time in the future. All in all a pain free process and best of all no more generator noise.
