Why Solar? – Size Matters

They are designed to give sufficient solar power in the winter months when there is less sunlight. The massive battery storage gives electricity supply for up to ten days with no sunlight. In the summer in Spain solar systems like these produce far more electricity than is needed. This gives you the option of running an electric car during the summer months.

The solar power solution most people go for is a hybrid system. For example you could use any one of the Family home kits plus a generator. The trade off is you have to pay a few euros a week for fuel sometimes during bad weather but you practically half your capital outlay.

The generator can be manually operated or auto start. With an auto start system when the batteries fall below a certain charge level the inverter will switch on the generator which will run for a short spell to top up the batteries. If the generator is located in a sound proof generator house or at a remote location you will not be aware this is happening.

This system has at its heart the XW hybrid inverter charger and has a generator auto start as an option. The range starts at 4kw which gives the end user much more freedom in choice and use of electrical appliances. Extra solar panels can be added to the system at any time.
