Grants from the Spanish government are available for new solar photovoltaic systems installed in legal homes. To qualify you must have a Licencia de Habilidad, or for new homes this is now a Licencia de Ocupacíon and the installation must be 3,000 watts (inverter size) or more. The grants are normally in the region of 30 to 40% of the total cost of equipment plus installation and are paid after the installation is complete.
